Old, damaged, water-stained, rodent-contaminated, or moldy insulation needs to come out before new insulation can be installed effectively. We remove old attic and crawl space insulation for homeowners throughout Waco and McLennan County and prepare the surface for proper replacement.

When Insulation Removal Is Necessary

Removal is appropriate when insulation has been contaminated by rodent activity (nesting, droppings, urine), when it has been damaged by water infiltration and never dried properly, when mold is present, when pest control treatments have been applied that require replacement, or when the insulation is so old and degraded that it provides minimal R-value. We assess the condition on arrival and confirm whether full removal or targeted removal of problem areas is the right approach.

What Removal Involves

Attic insulation removal uses a commercial vacuum system to pull the loose-fill material out efficiently. The attic is cleaned and any soiled decking or framing is treated as needed before new insulation goes in. Crawl space batt removal requires physical extraction of the material from between the joists. We bag and dispose of the removed material — you don't need to arrange separate disposal.
